Turn the pain into power..

Hello again to my lovely, wonderful readers! I know it’s been a while since my last blog post and I am truly sorry! I’ve taken a big break from the blog but now I’m back, bigger and better!

A lot of things have happened over the past few months, I turned 26 (yay!), my cousin got married (yay!), and I’ve also made the big decision to move back home to complete my Master’s Degree (yay!). I’m really excited about the future, however, I can’t help but to reflect on my past because it has led me towards a path I had never dreamed of.

For four years now around the end of September up until Mid-October, or Canadian Thanksgiving I become very emotional. I start to recall the dark chapter in 2012 that almost took my life. At times it is still difficult for me to talk about. I honestly did not think I would make it to see my 26th birthday.

The silver-lining is that every time I do a speech speaking about my mental health journey, I feel as though a new stroke of color is added to the new canvas that is me. I am so grateful that through this life-changing event, I have found my passion, which is mental health.

When I am mentally ready, I will continue telling my story, but until then, watch out for new blog posts!

Peace, happiness and love.
